Chiswick House School Playground
The main playground at Chiswick House School is currently undergoing an ambitious refurbishment project programme. Besides improving the current drainage system, the current works will make sure that protruding pillars are removed. New and higher fencing will also be installed around the whole area.
The surface chosen for Chiswick House School’s playground is Polytan SE, which is a sport surface produced by Polytan GmbH, a German-based manufacturer and installer of synthetic sports surfaces, with 37 years of experience in this field, and recommended by a number of international sports bodies. The 15mm polyurethane-based surface is an all-weather, multi-functional and water- permeable surface that offers fall protection and high shock absorption for the children who will be using it on a daily basis.
The surface will have especially painted games markings which will allow pupils to play specific games like volleyball, basketball and football during PE lessons and at break times
Other alterations in the same area will provide the children with a shaded seating area inside the playground itself, more accessibility to the playground for children using wheelchairs, an increased number of covered areas, as well as larger and more attractive areas to be used by parents when collecting their children.
