Message from the Principal - Over €11,000 collected for the children of Haiti through School Dress Down Day
Dear Parents, Colleagues I just wanted to let you know that as a school community - parents, staff and students - we have together collected over €11,000 for the children of Haiti through our Dress Down Day last Tuesday. Money is still coming in. As declared in my previous mail we will divide this money between SOS Malta and the Salesians. SOS Malta are helping the rebuilding of an orphanage run by the Sisters of Mother Theresa in Port-Au-Prince. The old building has had to be abandoned, and the new one will need to be a lot bigger following the earthquake. The Salesians are also trying to help in the relief effort, and to rebuild the network of orphanages they had in the country, a number of which have been destroyed with much loss of life. Should you still wish to make your contribution you may do so by putting it into an envelope clearly marked ‘Haiti Fund' and leaving it at reception at either school. Once again many thanks for your generosity. This money will help many children; I hope that we have also given our own children an opportunity to reflect on their very good fortune. Best wishes to you all, Patrick Tabone
