The exhibition was entitled 'Colour Fields', a theme that reflects the diverse talents on display. The paintings demonstrated experimentation and versatility with different media and techniques. There are examples of impasto and water colour sketches, as well as paintings in oil, acrylics, pastels and mixed media. The subjects ranged from a reflection of the artists' personal experiences to observations of everyday life. All the students who exhibited works are all following an art course at St Martin's College Sixth Form that will lead to their Advanced or Intermediate MATSEC examinations. Students were actively involved in the preparations of this exhibition, including mounting the exhibits and designing the exhibition artwork. This process allowed them to gain practical experience in the organization of such an event.
